We have switched on solar power plants on the roofs of both our buildings in Bilje. Together they generate the electricity for everything Green Office needs.
What it means in practice
Every office, meeting room and corridor now runs on solar energy. Lighting, computers, air conditioning, the kitchen, the server room and the electric vehicle charger in the car park all use electricity we make ourselves, on our own roof.
Why we did it
Green Office was always meant to be an office in the green: at the edge of Kopački Rit Nature Park, with a garden, a pond and a cycle path at the door. It would be odd to bring in power from far away in the middle of all that nature. Baranja gets plenty of sun, and the roofs were empty.
What it means for tenants
Electricity is included in the rent for offices and desks. When you work here, your business runs on clean energy too, at no extra cost and without any effort on your part. If your company tracks or reports on sustainability, it is a fact you can include.
Green under the roof as well
The building is home to SparkShare, a company that develops and assembles smart electric vehicle chargers right here. There is an 11 kW charger in the car park, and the Baranja cycling route passes in front of the building. If you come by bike, you can freshen up in the shower.
